Brief History
A phrase held in reverence proudly by every craftsman of Engelbert Phils., Inc. bearing in mind that every product which comes out of production line is a perfect craft.
In 1984, Engelbert Enterprises started in a small garage sized area with a few men, a few tools and with lots of heart and determination to succeed, Mr. Rolando B. Quitorio took his first step towards the big business.
He made acrylic key holders, small acrylic signages, and the target was the big business at divisoria. With perfect craftsmanship of the products, he captured the heart of retail business at the center of trading in the Philippines, Divisoria.
Soon, there were talks of bigger business elsewhere. The opening of big mall chains, fastfood chains, drug store chains, beauty product chains; they all needed acrylic signages, display booths, table numbers, employee nameplates, brochure standees, tissue holders, button pins, photo frames and many more.
Presenting their well-designed, finely crafted products, they soon gained acceptance to the bigger business, the likes of SM Shoe Mart Malls, Jollibee fastfood chains, Chowking food chains, Watsons Personal Care, Inc., Red Ribbon Bakeshop, Inc. PAGCOR and many more.
In 2003, business was getting bigger and soon, the enterprise had to be retired and Engelbert Enterprises was incorporated to Engelbert Phils., Inc. More employees were hired to man the administration, finance, marketing, purchasing, arts and design, and human resources.
New and modern computers, new tools, new machineries and more production personnel were needed. Today, we now have a compliment of 100 expertly trained craftsmen.
And again, Engelbert Phils., is setting its sight further into the international market, opening new doors for Filipino made products abroad. Now, signages made by Engelbert are proudly used at SM Guam and other SM branches abroad. Jollibee Foods chains in San Francisco, Los Angeles. Red Ribbon in San Francisco proudly displays our table toppers, Watsons Personal Care, Inc. in Hongkong, Singapore, and Indonesia. We have regular customers in Germany, Australia and in Palau.
Engelbert opened in 2003 a stamping plant for a new trend in licensing, accrediting and registering businesses, motor tricycles, by using pre-painted galvanized plate licenses. It added color and style in the licensing of business establishments. Plates now come with photos of landmarks of the provinces, cities, municipalities. Engelbert Phils., Inc. is the largest supplier of these plates.
